Credit Card

It seems that many people like to use credit cards instead of paying by cash. And I also notice that many young people nowadays like to use credit cards when they go shopping. I have no idea why they tend to do that.

In fact, I don't have any interest in paying every thing by credit cards. I prefer using cash more than credit cards. For example, last year when I went to Hong Kong with my friend Johnny Bee, there was a great different between us whenever we paid. He's the one who likes to pay everything by credit cards. And I, on the other hand, use cash only. Here comes the problem, the great different between us was that when I almost ran out of my money, I stopped. Unlike him, he would never stop and still kept buying things by his credit cards as if his cards doesn't have upper limit.

I told him that "it's not appropriate to use credit cards like that, and it might make you get into debt." And he often wants me not to worry about that even though I am. To be honest, I really don't want to have any credit cards. It's not because I can't control my budget and might get myself into debt. It's just because I like to pay everything by cash but not credit cards. Perhaps for some people it's really convenient to use credit cards in some ways. But, for me, I don't think so.

Credit cards are a kind of convenience, but that convenience isn't free. The first convenience is that you can by things even if you don't have enough cash in your pocket. The second is that you can always complain to the credit card company if the merchant doesn't give you what you paid for or if the merchant won't replace damaged goods. The third is that you have a printed record of how much money you spent, what you spent it for, when you spent it, and where you spent it. That's important to a lot of people who can't manage their money well.

"was a great difference between us" is correct.

"still kept buying things with his credit cards as if his cards didn't have any upper limit" is idiomatic English.

Verbosity: "it might make you get into debt" should be "it might put you in serious debt".

"even though I am" should be "even though I do".

Your last line should be "But, for me, it isn't".

Otherwise, a very well-written essay.
